- For many centuries, Sweet Myrrh-Opoponax has been used in perfumery and for treating wounds and clearing respiratory congestion. Healthy trees and growing wild in East Africa, produce a resin that is distilled into Opoponax Essential Oil. The unique aroma is dry, earthy and sweet, with lavender-like undertones. Main Chemical Components: alpha-Bisabolene (24.95%), alpha-Santalene (21.17%), E-beta-Ocimene (14.17%)

Opoponax~Sweet Myrrh is a Base Note Essential Oil. ItÃ•s aroma is dry, earthy and sweet, with lavender-like undertones. Opoponax Essential Oil is derived from a natural resin produced in a healthy Commiphora Erythrea tree, native to East Africa.

The Opoponax tree is in the same family as Frankincense and Myrrh.
