East Texas Country Outfit JB & The Moonshine Band was born in 2009 when singer/songwriter JB Patterson decided to give up on his advertising career and start a band. When JB coordinated and open call audition in Tyler, TX, only three people showed up. He might have been disappointed in the lack of response, but when he heard them play, he realized that he couldn't have hand-picked a better band himself. The four became JB & The Moonshine Band, comprised of drummer Gabe Guevara, guitarist Hayden McMullen, bassist Chris Flores, and lead singer JB Patterson on banjo and guitar. They immediately threw together a PA, rented a UHaul van, and started taking gigs throughout east Texas. In spring 2010, JB & The Moonshine band opened for Colt Ford. the group's raw sound, outlaw attitude, and original material caught Ford's attention and he quickly signed the band to his label, Average Joe's Entertainment. Average Joe's Released JB & The Moonshine Band's debut album, "Ain't Goin Back To Jail" and their sophomore effort "Beer For Breakfast". Both records combined to produce six Top-10s and three consecutive #1s on the Texas billboard chart. JB & The Moonshine Band hit 175 consecutive tour dates per year in 2013 and 2014 in 30 states, all while writing and producing their third album "Mixtape".
