Helen felt she had no choice but to put up with it all; she needed the job, and she'd signed a yearâ€™s lease. Then she discovers a dead body in her work spaceâ€¦ and unfortunately soon learns that wonâ€™t be the worst thing to happen to her in San Francisco.

This cozy mystery is the second book in the Helen Wiels Mystery series. It picks up where Book 1, Past Matters, left off, although it can be read as a stand-alone novel.
