A multiple award winner! This durable tin 3 in 1 moneybox is a timeless gift that will inspire and teach children to save, spend, and share wisely for a lifetime. A great allowance tool too. Moonjar moneyboxes were created as a tool for children and families to incorporate strong financial values and practices into their daily lives. Moonjar moneyboxes are used in homes and schools around the world to teach financial basics and literacy. The Moonjar is a modern take and educational alternative to piggy banks. The Moonjar bank consists of three, diamond shaped tin canisters with either save, spend, or share on the side. Children deposit their hard earned allowance amongst the three canisters and talk about why they are splitting their funds. The paper deposit and withdrawal booklet is divided into the same three sections (save, spend, and share) as well. Older children hone their math skills as they determine the percentage allocated to each canister. Each canister has an acrylic lid with a 1.5" long x 5/16" wide slot for kids to deposit change and folded bills. The acrylic lids fit snugly and may need adult help to open when children are young. Older kids will have no problem opening and counting their money. The three canisters are held together by a rubber band for neatness, yet kids can easily remove the band and investigate each canister separately and move funds between them. A paper family guide is also included. Moneybox canisters measure 5.25" high and 5" wide when the canisters are bundled together using the rubber band. Moonjar banks help parents to teach basic skills of saving for a goal, spending appropriately and sharing with a sibling or cause the child is interested in.
