Mountain Man Work Shirt Pattern
Includes: 1 Sewing Pattern
Includes Sizes: Small (36) through XX-Large (50)
This Mountain Man's Work Shirt is designed after the everyday shirts worn by mountain men in the late 18th century. It can be worn out or tucked in. Typical of the period, this pullover shirt has no shoulder seam. Other details include neck and underarm gussets, a fold down collar, long cuffs which can be folded up and shoulder reinforcements (if desired). The pattern has a choice of two lengths. The traditional length is 36 to 39 inches long, which allows the shirt to substitute as a night shirt. The standard length is 4 inches shorter and is about the same as a regular shirt. Suggested fabrics are linen or linen blends, light weight wool, cotton or cotton blends. Sizes Small (36) through XX-Large (50) may be made using this pattern. A complete glossary of terms makes it easy for anyone to make a shirt of which they can be proud. 18th century, Mountain Man, Rendezvous, Louis and Clarke, Colonial, American Revolutionary War, Fur Trade, Trapper Impressions.
