- 5B LEAD is a soft, specialty use lead. Due to it's high graphite content (and less clay) it is fragile and easily breaks, but is worth the head ache for it's rich and dark lines.

These mechanical pencil leads are for creative projects where your tools mean everything. 2.0mm lead is ideal for providing various line thickness in your process. Bring to a razor sharp point using the cap sharpener commpon to many lead holders and mechancial pencils or use and emory board (nail file, sandpaper ect...) to get a custom edge. Sharpen at a 45 degree angle to go back and forth between fine and thick lines. Sharpen for a long point holding at lead near parallel to the surface, good for gradations and subtle edge efects. Tired of the sharpening your pencil breaking your work flow? Move lead flat at 90 degree's across sandpaper. This gives a sharp edge and can be refreshed with a single swipe across sand paper.
