Virtual Serengeti is a new educational science CD-ROM from Grolier Interactive. This interactive adventure, hosted by George Page of WNET's Nature TV series, is the first photo safari for kids ages 9 and older. The CD contains more than 150 animal videos, 59 animal entries in a handy field guide, 58 360-degree panoramic environments, 7 Quick Time VR Serengeti locations, 6 field studies, and links to selected Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia Online articles and Web links. Also included are an interactive journal and virtual video recorder, allowing kids to create their own video documentary.
