To use your personal water filter straw, first prime the filter by soaking it in a bit clean water just before use.

Fill the Boost Bag (for best results remember to choose flowing water as drinking source options). Next, attach the Pre-Filter (with filter disc inserted). Lastly, attach the filter to your purifying straw and gently squeeze the Boost Bag to assist filtration.

Also, keep in mind that laying down near water can be a bad idea, especially in water where hypothermia risks are real, or predators hang out.
