San Mao, a distinquished author, died early but not without rich experiences to share with the world. When San Mao was in junior school, she dropped out due to her audacious and even rebellious behavior. After her study tour throughout Spain, Germany and America, San Mao was transformed into a confident young woman. After marrying in 1974, she began a prominent writing career. In 1979, San Mao was deeply devasted when her husband, Jose, died suddenly. Through these experiences, Never-Flower in Never-Dream, was born. This collection of 23 essays records her lonely life journey after the death of her beloved husband, Jose. Through her writings we gain insight into the depths of her emotional battle and how she emerged once again to face life strongly.
