New Music for Contemporary Ballet Class, Music for Ballet Class, Ballet Class Music
New York City composer and musician Jack Morer has worked with some of the finest dancers and dance teachers in NYC for both ballet and modern dance classes, notably Kenny Larson (former Principal Dancer with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and the National Ballet of Canada), Sorella Englund (Royal Danish Ballet), Dwight Rhoden & Desmond Richardson (Complexions/Alvin Ailey) and Alan Danielson (School Director of the Limón Institute), The Joffrey Ballet School, among many others. His latest CD was produced in consultation with Kenny Larson and is based on Kenny's class structure. It is a collection of 23 original compositions which combine elements of classical, ambient, rock, jazz, and various folk styles (American, Celtic, Spanish, African, etc.) along with occasional ethnic percussion timbres to create something new for dance. All music in this collection is performed entirely on the Baritone Guitar augmented with subtle electronic effects, acoustic guitars, and mandolins. Composed specifically for ballet class, this music will offer your class a dynamic new sound and a contemporary edge and should appeal to any teacher looking for a unique musical approach to their classes. Each composition is listed with time signature, length of intro and overall length in 8's
