Derfor er min pÃ¥stand at NÃ¥lebindingsteknikken er lige sÃ¥ gammel som vÃ¦vning, der kunne udvikles fra det tidspunkt hvor mennesker blev fastboende som agedyrkere og kvÃ¦gavlere. De fÃ¸rste fÃ¥reracer behÃ¸vedes ikke at blive klippet, da de selv fÃ¦ldede ulden, som vi kender det fra moskusokser pÃ¥ GrÃ¸nland. I dag kender vi bl.a. til Soay-fÃ¥ret fra de Ydre Hebrider og Mongoliet. At NÃ¥lebinding mÃ¥ vÃ¦re brugt af mennesker gennem mere end 100.000 Ã¥r kan nu ikke vÃ¦re en umulig tanke, dersom der stadig bliver fremstillet bÃ¦reposer, fiskenet og andet i fx plante-materiale. Teknikken er blevet og bliver brugt jorden rundt, efterhÃ¥nden som mennesker har befolket de enkelte kontinenter. Specialiseringen er dog fÃ¸rst og fremmed nÃ¸dvendiggjort af klimaet i Norden, i Skandinavien og de Baltiske omrÃ¥der, samt den vestlige del af Rusland.For at forgÃ¦ngeligt materiale som uld, pileflet og trÃ¦ting skal kunne overleve i flere tusind Ã¥r, mÃ¥ der vÃ¦re optimale forhold, der gÃ¸r, at disse ting ikke nedbrydes. The Archaeology and Ethnology has been with me for the last couple of years. My allegation is therefore: The technique of NÃ¥lebinding is just as old as weaving, which could be developed from the time where human beings became permanent settlers taking care of agriculture and livestock. The oldest race of sheep is the Soay from Outer Hebrides Islands in the Atlantic Sea west of Scotland and another race still living in Mongolia. These old races throw their wool just like the Muskox in Greenland. NÃ¥lebinding must have been used by man for more than 100.000 years, as they had the need to carry and keep various things - and furthermore you can find the technique still in use all over the world. Often it is various kinds of grasses and lianas. The special use here in the Northern Europe was necessary due to the cold climate.
