James Meyers Thompson (Jim Thompson) was an American writer who never attained full recognition for his talent until after his death in 1977. Now, he is rightly regarded as a master of noir who turned the crime genre into literature and art. A number of Thompsonâ€™s books became popular films. Jim Thompson made his reputation writing from the bad guyâ€™s point of view, and Nothing More than Murder, which focuses on a murderous plot by a small town theater owner, his wife and his lover, is no exception.
