The amount to feed will vary based upon age, activity level, breed, size, and environment. Adjust feeding rate as needed so that your cat maintains a proper weight. Fresh water should be available at all times, and bowls should be cleaned daily. Kittens will begin to eat small amounts of dry food at 3 to 4 weeks of age. It is best to offer both dry NUTRISCA and dry NUTRISCA moistened with warm water at this time. After weaning (approximately 8 weeks of age), kittens will normally free feed on dry food. If moistened food is desired, use one part warm water blended with three parts dry NUTRISCA. Moistened food should be changed at least twice daily in order to prevent spoilage. Reproducing females should be offered two to four times the amounts shown in the chart during gestation and lactation.
