Description ### Whether you're having an Oyster Roast, just having a few oysters at home or working in a restaurant, this is the knife for you. ### SAVE YOUR HANDS - The handle is as important as the blade - The smooth rounded handle fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. The blade guard allows you to apply more pressure with less chance of your hand slipping forward and hurting yourself. The handle is the same length as the blade, giving you plenty of leverage if needed. ### THE SHUCKING PROCESS -Always place the oyster on a hard surface (not in your hand). Use a glove or thick cloth to hold it down. Insert the tip your knife in the back (bumpy end) of the oyster (not the smooth flat end). Wiggle it back and forth a little until the tip is slightly in-between the top and bottom shell and then give it a slight twist and pop the hinge just enough to be able to push your knife in and across the underside of the top shell. This way you do not damage the oyster. Now open the shell and run the knife under the meat and you have a perfect oyster. Enjoy! I hope I have helped you make your decision.
