On Letting Go
Circa Survive have spent the last two years carving their place in the music world. Their captivating debut album Juturna was written and recorded before ever having played a live show, and has gone on to sell over 100,000 copies according to Nielsen Soundscan. Praised by critics for it's delicate composure Juturna quickly became a favorite in the eyes of true music lovers who appreciated the album note for note. As word spread about the band, Circa Survive landed tours with My Chemical Romance, Thrice, Saves The Day, Rise Against, and Thursday, amongst others. Night after night, a fleet of awestruck observers were exposed to the band's intensely compelling performance led by singer Anthony Green's fanatical onstage charisma. Green spends his time in the spotlight swaying back and forth caressing the heads of front row viewers, somehow creating an intimate environment amidst a sea of cultlike fans yearning for his touch. In early 2007, Circa Survive recorded their magical new album, On Letting Go with producer Brian McTernan (Thrice, Strike Anywhere, Hot Water Music) at his Salad Days Studios in Baltimore, MD. The beautiful recording presents Circa Survive in a brand new light. It shows a band that has become more comfortable with themselves, a band that has developed naturally, and a band with endless confidence... it shows a band that has truly let go.
