2014 two CD collection focusing on the solo career of the former Faces and Small Faces member. These songs showcase exactly why Lane is so rightly revered by his admirers like Paul Weller, Billy Bragg, Pete Townshend, Paul McCartney, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and Noel Gallagher - they are richly melodic, warm, honest works propelled by arrangements lovingly laced with mandolins, violins, squeeze boxes and acoustic guitar. Slim Chance members included Gallagher & Lyle whilst highlights include the sublime 'Burnin' Summer', 'One for the Road', 'Stone', 'Bottle of Brandy' and 'Tin And Tambourine'. The collection also unearths some previously unreleased alternate takes of classic Ronnie compositions such as 'Ooh La La', 'The Poacher' and 'Anniversary'. Also included is the BBC concert Ronnie performed in 1974 which features several Faces classics as well as a rip roaring version of 'How Come' and a cover of Gallagher and Lyle's 'I Believe in You' who incidentally perform alongside Ronnie at this concert.
