We understand that you probably think all rain ponchos are the same, but here's why we think ours are better:
- Each poncho is individually packed in a small zip up pouch, keeping it compact, clean and neat, ready for use. Once used, however, it's very difficult to get the poncho back into this pouch, so we have included a larger zip-lock bag which can easily store two used ponchos. (You don't really want to throw them away after just one use, do you? We think most people throw them out of frustration, because they can't get them back into the little pouches!)
- Although lightweight, they are still quite substantial and strong (not like some, that seem to be dry cleaning bags with sleeves!), which is why they are suitable to be reused if you wish, but still cheap enough to throw away
- We found that many ponchos have hoods that simply fall off the minute you move - which is very annoying and makes them virtually useless! So we made sure that these hoods had a good length drawsting (with a knot pre-tied at each end, so it doesn't disappear the minute you try to tie the string!)
- They are knee length on an average sized male - will cover your rear when sitting down, but also won't trip up shorter people (we've seen this happen - not nice!)
- You can keep all your bags & gear dry under the poncho, because they are spacious enough to go over backpacks etc.Â
