The last thing Wendy needed was another man to break her heart. Recovering from her fiancÃ©'s betrayal in the remote Pacific coastal village of Shadow Ridge, Wendy Hunt is not loing for romance. Coming on the heels of her father's abandonment, this latest heartbreak has convinced her that life is less painful without love. Wendy intends to live a man-free life from now on. Of course, she never reckoned on meeting Eric Tremaine. Eric has arrived in town from Seattle to search for his estranged brother, Scott, whose last known address was in Shadow Ridge. When Eric elicits Wendy's help, she finds she is fighting her growing attraction to him. She only hopes he leaves before he steals her heart completely. As Eric and Wendy search for Scott, they face more than shifty art dealers and Canadian Mounties with secrets; they must also confront some ghosts of past hurts before they can step out of the shadows and love again.
