Directed by cellist Kivie Cahn-Lipman, ACRONYM is devoted to resurrecting music of the past, giving modern premieres of long-lost works by forgotten composers. Antoni Bertali (1605-1669) was a prolific composer of both sacred and secular music; few of his works were published and almost none survive. ACRONYM is pleased to present the first recordings here of six sonatas, and the first recordings in their present orchestrations of several more.
