Anderson Metals Brass Pipe Fitting, Coupling, 1/4" x 1/4" Female Pipe
The Parker reducing bushing is a brass pipe fitting with a hexagonal head and male National Piper Taper (NPT) threads on one end and female NPT threads on the other for connecting different types of pipe. It has NPT threading for creating tighter seals than straight threads and is made from brass, which is more economical and offers greater corrosion resistance than steel. It has a hexagonal head for leverage and use with a wrench. This fitting meets standards ANSI B31.1 and B1.20.1 for quality assurance.
Bushings are pipe fittings used to connect pipes of two different sizes. They have male threads on the outside and female threads on the inside.
Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).
