Patterns for a Doll's Cloak, Bonnet and Top Petticoat

These patterns were published in the late Victorian era as part of an advertising campaign for â€œAtlas Superfine Baby Woolâ€.
For ease of use by modern day knitters, the patterns have been rewritten using modern terminology. Metric measurements and detailed notes on making up the garments have also been added.
The clothes are modelled on a modern "La Newborn" doll by Berengeur, but they are equally suited to most antique and reproduction dolls of between 13 to 15 inches in length.

Measurements for the doll illustrated are as follows: -
â€¢around head: at widest point, 30cm (12â€)
â€¢over head: from earlobe to earlobe, 22cm (8Â½â€)
â€¢around the neck: 19cm (7Â½â€)
â€¢around the chest: under the arms, 26cm (10Â½â€)
â€¢around the waist: 27.5cm (11â€)

Requirements:
Knitting Needles: 1 pair 3mm knitting needles (UK 11, US 2 or 3)
Yarn: (50g is approximately 2 oz)
Cloak: 150g, 4 ply wool
Bonnet: 50g, 4 ply wool
Top Petticoat: 100g, 4 ply wool
UK 4 ply = US 1 or Super Fine, Australian 3, German 3 fadig (4 ply is also called Fingering, Sock wool or Baby wool.)
