Our Coconut Oil and Himalayan Salt Wild Sprouted Pili nuts are made with the original recipe that started the pili nut craze! We simply took a wild harvested sprouted pili nut, sprinkled it with raw Himalayan salt, and finished it off with a splash of extra virgin coconut oil. The process wasn?t complicated, but the result was delicious enough make Hunter Gatherer?s pili nuts a nationwide phenomenon. All of our pili nuts are wild harvested by hand from the Filipino rainforest, placing minimal strain on natural resources and providing local communities with an incentive to preserve the health of their wild spaces. After harvest, the nuts are then sprouted and activated through a soak in salt water and dehydration. The activation process breaks down the phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors contained within raw pili nuts, allowing the body to access the nutrients inside much more easily. The result is a super-nut with a rich buttery taste, containing a huge range of essential vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, manganese, and Vitamin B1, and the highest fat and lowest carbohydrate content of any nut.
