Almonds are not true nuts, but are actually drupes--an outer hull surrounding a hard shell that contains the seeds as we know them inside. It is from these drupes that sweet almond oil is derived, which has long been utilized for its benefits as a carrier oil in massage therapy and aromatherapy!

Using Sweet Almond Oil:

Bath:

Add 5-10 drops to hot bath water before getting in for an at-home spa experience.

8-10 drops of essential oil per 1 ounce of carrier oil. Apply a small amount directly to areas of concern, such as muscles, skin, or joints. Work the oil gently into the skin until it is fully absorbed.
