Pitbulls are a breed of dog that has been situated in unfortunate circumstances. Due to their strong build and defensive nature, the Pitbull is rife with controversy and conflict. Their very existence has fueled countless discussions surrounding breed-specific behavior in dogs, which has led many to conclude this a dangerous pet to own--irrespective of their environment, their owner's capabilities and how they were bred. Artist Dean Russo and The Mountain present a gentler side to the humble Pittie in our Pitbull Luv tee--our effort to show the innocent and loving potential of all dogs.

Our artist dean Russo draws inspiration from the urban landscape of his native Brooklyn, New York and his love for dogs to create truly unique artwork known for its brilliant colors and bold abstract designs of mesmerizing shapes and symbols. Through his designs, Dean strives to communicate a message that encourages people to choose adoption, to acknowledge the worldwide failure of breed-specific legislation and to combat dog fighting around the world.

Dyed using organic dyes with designs printed with soft, non-toxic water-based inks.

When you first receive your Mountain garment we recommend washing in cold water alone or with like colors. Since your shirt was hand-dyed it will continue to bleed some excess color for the first few washes. It is safe to use normal detergent, just make sure to avoid bleach. Your Mountain Tee should be dried either in a tumble dryer or flat, not hung as the weight of the water will cause the cotton to stretch.
