Barry Harris Plays Tadd Dameron is a stellar 1975 trio session that features the great pianist paying homage to the legendary bebop composer. It was a landmark album, being the first repertoire tribute to the composer since his death a decade earlier. It was also the first programatic piano treatment of Dameron melodies entirely apt since Tadd, for much of his band-leading career, directed operations from the keyboard.
