- Our Fine Instant Polenta is yellow cornmeal that is finely ground and pre-cooked. Fine Polenta cooks much faster than regular polenta. Polenta is often used to make porridge or mush, and it can be baked, fried, grilled, and more! - To prepare: Boil 4 cups of water or stock. Very lowly whisk in 1 cup polenta. Whisk while simmering for 3 minutes, until very thick. To make polenta cakes, pour in greased loaf pan, and chill 2 hours. Slice and prepare as desired.
