It's been said that you can't be unhappy when listening to polka, and that's certainly proven true by the joyful jump added to many favorite Christmas carols on this collection from the one of the genre's greats. While it's certainly steeped in tradition, Jimmy Sturr's music isn't limited to hardcore polka fans: in fact, he's the only polka artist to have played both Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry. That universal sound bounces forth from the grooves of standards like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Frosty the Snowman," which Sturr's orchestra plays with smiles that you can hear.
