Polski, Krok Po Kroku: Level 2 (A2/B1): Coursebook for Learning Polish as a Foreign Language (Polish Edition)
The second part of Polski krok po kroku , designed for A2/B1 students, is a faithful continuation of the first as far as content and graphics are concerned. In the 23 lessons, we discover what happens next in the lives of several foreigners who have come to Cracow to learn Polish and in doing so also discover the country s culture, history and most interesting sites. The large amount of cultural and historical information contained within the book is a definite plus. Also worthy of note is the emphasis on communication, the broad spectrum of thematic tasks, the richness of lexis and audio material and the easily accesible way in which grammar is presented. The latter takes the form of intuitive tables as well as exercises which allow the individual to discover and understand the rules for themselves. The first lessons mainly focus on the recycling and systemisation of areas already covered, which allows for a fluid and stress-free transition from A1 to A2 level. In fact, the exercises throughout the textbook recycle material which has already been met, allowing the student to gain a solid basis of knowledge. As in the first part of the book, the focus is on dialogues, although there are also many authentic or authentic-style texts. Furthermore, the whole book is extremely lucid and very attractive from a graphical standpoint. As the first e-coursebook on the market, the textbook offers both the student and teacher a wide range of ways in which to make the most of it. Students have the possibility of using it for self-study since explanations of the tasks, answer keys, grammatical commentaries in several languages and a multimedia dictionary with an in-built memoriser of vocabulary are all available online. Teachers can find a series of addictional exercises and recordings online, in addition to the Teacher s Book, tests for the lessons, didactic games and grammatical commentaries.
