The pieces in natural color, a shade darker than ivory weighs in at a hefty 3.75 pounds. The king weighs a full 65 grams (2.2 ounces.) As you would expect with a set of such quality, there is an extra queen of both colors. The king base is 1 7/8 inches so a board with 2 1/4 inch or larger squares is preferable.
