Digitally remastered two CD set containing a pair of albums (plus bonus tracks) from the British Rock/Soul vocalist. In 1983 Pride, Palmer's eighth album, showed him honing the synthesizer sound commenced on the preceding albums, with tracks like the hit 'You Are in My System' and 'Want You More', whilst reprising the steel drums on the title track. But it was with Riptide (1985) that he finally found the worldwide success he richly deserved. Although the album featured songs that pointed to his future 'standards' recordings, it was the hard rock of 'Addicted to Love' and it's MTV friendly video that took Palmer (and the album) to the top of the charts. Also featured is Palmer's version of Cherrelle's hit 'I Didn't Mean to Turn You On'. This slipcased reissue features fifteen rare bonus tracks, including three previously unreleased, along with the lyrics, and annotation by BBC reviewer Chris Jones.
