The Danish String Quartet's Grammy-nominated Prism project links Bach fugues, late Beethoven quartets and works by modern masters
The Danish String Quartet's Grammy-nominated Prism project links Bach fugues, late Beethoven quartets and works by modern masters. In volume two of the series, Bach's Bb minor, Beethoven's Op. 130 is joined with Schnittke's Quartet No.3 (1983). As the quartet explains, "A beam of music is split through Beethoven's prism. It's important to us is that these connections be experienced widely." Autumn US tour dates climax with a run of Prism concerts plus the full cycle in La Jolla in late November.
