Picking Up S.T.E.A.M. Smartphones and computers convert your favorite songs into a series of electrical pulses. These electrical pulses are sent to the panda speaker and back in a circular path -- a complete circuit. When you feed an apple slice to the panda, you complete the path and the electricity reaches the speaker. You can now hear the music! If any part of this path is broken, the speaker won’t work. This means that apples can conduct electricity!
