The PDT90 drug test uses strands of hair and will detect use approximately 3 months back. The 12 drugs of abuse groups analyzed by the hair test include: cocaine, opiates (heroin, morphine, oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydrocodone, hydromorphone and codeine), phencyclidine (PCP), amphetamines (including methamphetamine, amphetamine, MDMA Ecstasy, MDEA Eve, and MDA) and marijuana. These groups encompass some of the most abused prescription drugs such as oxycodone (Oxycontin, Percocet, Percodan, Roxicodone), hydrocodone (Vicodin, Lorcet, Lortab) and hydromorphone (Dilaudid).
You can administer the test in the privacy of your own home. Just collect a small sample of a hair, send the sample to the Psychemedics laboratory and receive notification of the results within 3 to 5 business days of receipt of the sample. The PDT90 includes all instructions plus a pre paid mailing envelope for the sample. No names are used so complete confidentiality is assured.
The PDT-90 Personal Drug Testing Service uses one of the most effective tests on the market, the same patented technology relied upon by corporations nationwide. Hair samples are cleansed to remove any external contaminants. As with any drug testing, cutoff levels are utilized to help ensure that inadvertent or unintentional contact with drugs will not create a false positive result.
The testing technology is designed to show the presence of drug levels which would only be consistent with the ingestion of drugs. Before any positive test result is reported, the sample is subjected to a second, confirmatory test using gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS), considered the gold standard for forensic drug testing.
