The hourglass shape of the glass (and a correct pour) allows the liquids to separate. Simply pour the alcohol on top against the inside of the glass (not directly into the bottom chamber) and the top liquid will sit perfectly on the bottom liquid and remain separated until consumed. This allows for the most delicious shot experience you will ever have as you will immediately taste the chaser following the alcohol. No more cringing after taking shots!
