We liked this style of solder tip cleaner but hated that it slid all over the place when we actually used it. And the fact that most came with tiny little balls of bronze wool that didn't even fill the cavity just felt cheap and didn't work that well.

Big Ball of Bronze Wool

We also use a big ole ball of bronze wool that fills the cavity completely. And our bronze wool is courser than others. It still cleans just as well (if not better) but it doesn't need to be changed as often because more solder residue falls to the bottom where it can easily be dumped out.
