Principle and operation: Hall effect encoders are angle-measuring devices based on the Hall effect. When a current passes through a conductor placed in a magnetic field, a transverse voltage, known as the Hall voltage, is generated on the sides of the conductor. This voltage is proportional to the strength of the magnetic field, so by measuring this voltage, we can measure the strength of the magnetic field and thus indirectly measure the rotation angle.
Non-: Hall encoders measure using a magnetic field, so no physical is required. This allows them to maintain accuracy and stability in environments with dust, vibration, or temperature changes.
High precision: Since the Hall effect measures the strength of the magnetic field, and the magnetic field strength can be controlled very precisely, Hall effect encoders can provide very precise measurements. This makes them particularly suitable for high-precision applications such as precision engineering and robotics.
Durability and reliability: Due to its non- method of measurement, Hall effect encoders have high durability and reliability. They do not wear out from friction like mechanical encoders. Also, since the operation of the Hall effect encoder does not depend on light, it is not affected by changes in lighting conditions.
Broad applications: Hall effect encoders can be applied to various fields that need angle measurement, including aerospace, automotive, industrial automation, and robotics. They make precise angle measurements possible in these fields.
