He uses a complex, yet beautiful blend of sand which is carefully selected for each frame color. The result is the sand trickles between the air bubbles to create fascinating stratifications in the sand mountains. A slower flow of sand will result in a delicate trickle of sand making more dramatic peaks and valleys. A faster flow of sand will make dune shapes.
