As many of you know, the Carcharocles Megalodon was a prehistoric shark that lived during the Miocene and Pliocene periods (2 to 20 million years ago). It was the largest and most ferocious top predator that has ever existed. The Megalodon was thought to be as long as 75 feet and weighed up to 75 tons. This is equivalent to 7 or 8 full grown Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaurs. A full grown female adult was the size of a greyhound bus and with a mouth as large as 11' wide x 9.5' high, they could easily attack and swallow their main food source.... warm blooded whales. The giant 6' dorsal fin sliced through the water with ease and the pectoral fins were an alarming 8' long. The massive 20' tail (from tip to tip) was as high as a 2 story building.
