This is the full sized replica of the Spartan sword used by King Leonidas. It is made from 1060 High Carbon Steel for absolute strength and has a factory edge on it, but it can be sharpened to a razors edge. The blade shape is famous for it's clipped point that is good for piercing, but overall it retains a curvature that works with slashing too. Flat black powder coating is also added to the blade to protect the handmade 1060 high carbon steel, while the edge is bare showing the natural grain of the metalwork. The full length of the blade is oiled for protection against the elements, as are all 1060 high carbon steel blades.

The hand guard is full metal with accurately formed shape and powder coated black. Any sized person will easily fit a hand and a half around the leather wrapped handle. The wrapping is thick and very comfortable in the hand, even when squeezed very tight-like. The sword fits neatly into the double-layer leather sheath. The sheath is stitched together and riveted with stainless rivets. It also features a leather belt to support the sword around the waist or slung over the shoulder. The belt is adjustable and is 3.2 Inches wide and 48 inches long with a metal buckle. Where the belt meets the sheath are two extra supports to stabilize the sword when it is being worn. This is perfect for lore friendly activities, re-enactments, shows, plays, and many other sports or fan gatherings.
