Regenerate Your Body: A Look Into Regenerative Medicine
This book is on regenerative medicine and how this field is changing the way we practice medicine in the 21st century. Its aim is to highlight different technologies that are emerging in the field of regenerative medicine.
The first chapter looks into Stem cell and PRP therapy. These treatments are good for growing organs, regenerating damaged joints, restoring hair loss, and rejuvenating skin. The next chapter looks into hormone replacement and ways hormones such as HGH, testosterone, estrogen, thyroid, and how these hormones are responsible for signaling many functions in the body. Next, the book looks into gene therapy and ways agents such as programmed viruses can be used to turn on or off genes or even add genes that are not present. This was seen in the example of adding the gene for an immune system to a patient with "Bubble Boy Syndrome". The next chapter looks into exercise and diet and how these modalities can regenerate a patient and cause epigenetic changes. The last chapter looks into laser technologies that are being used to regenerate tissues and rejuvenate signs of aging.
