Imagine the value of a personal protective force-field in a combat situation. Professor Standing had more than imagined it, he'd actually made one, or had very nearly completed it. The only problem was that of funding. The MOD had lost patience and the funding was going to be stopped, so the professor was looking at alternative sources of finance. Enter ex-Sgt. Curly Curtis, late of the SAS. He is assigned the task of infiltrating the plant and acquiring all information before it leaves the country, destined to potentially hostile powers. However, the system isn’t perfect and there’s an accident in the lab. Curtis’s last awareness before blacking out was of someone saying that his face was melting. A week later, a young woman wakes in hospital two hundred miles away with no memory of who she is or how she got there. The amnesia doesn't last, but with recall come some unique problems. Join her on her struggle to find herself and to finish the job that Rob Curtis was assigned.
