About the Music
John Powell is an English composer and conductor best known for his motion picture scores. He has composed the scores to over fifty feature films including "Antz," "Shrek," "Face/Off," "Chicken Run," "I Am Sam," "The Bourne Identity," "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Bourne Ultimatum," "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," "Happy Feet" and the "Ice Age" films. His 2010 score for the film "How to Train Your Dragon" earned him his first Academy AwardÂ® nomination at the 83rd Academy AwardsÂ®.

About the Movie
Blu and his family take flight for the Amazon after Jewel decides their children should explore the world. Meanwhile, the overprotective father grows concerned that his family will leave him once they've experienced life in the wild. This sequel is from director Carlos Saldanha and producers John C. Donkin and Bruce Anderson -- the creative trio behind the original 2011 animated hit. Reprising their vocal roles are Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, Tracy Morgan, Jamie Foxx, will.i.am, George Lopez, and Leslie Mann. Joining the cast for the sequel are Kirstin Chenoweth, Andy Garcia, Rita Moreno and Bruno Mars. Rio 2 will open in theaters nationwide on April 11, 2014.
