R98 Casting Alloy Pewter. An excellent casting pewter that contains approximately 98% Tin, 1.5% Bismuth, 0.5% Copper. The bismuth helps minimize shrinkage for small details. The melting temperature is around 466 - 590 F. Each ingot weighs approx 1 pound and measures approximately 3/4" x 1-1/2" x 4". Our lead-free pewters are used for the finest jewelry, gifts, collectibles, novelty items, accessories, awards, and decorations. These alloys can also be used to cast into plaster of paris, sand, and rubber molds.
