Rubik's Cube Secret Rubik's Cube Solution Guide, Beginner's Method of Solving the Rubik's Cube
Before learning how to solve the Rubik’s cube, it is good to know a little history of it. Rubik’s cube is simply a puzzle in a shape of a cube invented by Hungarian professor of architecture, Ernő Rubik. Its name carries the general idea of the toy – a puzzle cube created by Rubik – Rubik’s cube.
Erno Rubik named his creation “Magic Cubeâ€. It was in 1974 where he originally designed the magic cube for architectural puzzle. He wanted to see if it was possible to solve the magic cube comprised of miniature cubes. As he worked on his project, he saw that the completed cube could also be used for mental exercise. Magic Cubes went on sale in Hungary.
As the toy spread and reached United States, the name “Magic Cube†was changed to “Rubik’s Cubeâ€. The cube consists of 26 cubelets or miniature puzzle cubes. Though the cube is 3x3x3, that would be 27, the central core is immovable that is why it is not counted. A Rubik’s cube has six surfaces. Each surface has a color. The classic colors of it are red, blue, yellow, orange, green, and white. The standard size of the cube is 5.7cm3.
