Simple stories often create a bigger impact compared to a more complicated story with a twisted plot. Since simple stories are more conversational, natural language is used and therefore provides an immediate connection to the reader. Often, simple stories illustrate a point convincingly and more clearly than any other type of communication.

I am a big fan of childrenâ€™s literature because they have mastered the fine art of being profound, yet simple at the same time.

3. The lessons are achievable.
Have you ever been told or made to feel that you canâ€™t do anything even before you actually do it? There are many instances in my life where people around me make judgements about my ability to do something even before the actual attempt.

In this book, the lessons that will be taught are achievable, and the author believes that it is not some high ideal that you should aspire to â€“ but something that you can do right now. Everyone who reads this book can change their lives by achieving the goals.

4. The lessons are practical.
Learning by doing is a buzzword in education now. However, thousands of years ago, thatâ€™s what people actually did. They learned by doing. So, humanity is genetically predisposed to learn through practical lessons. People respond better when they are made to engage in practical activities, and when they are told to do some concrete action. Taking that one step forward will help achieve our goal.

5. You donâ€™t have to do anything if you donâ€™t want to.
This last statement may sound like a horrible starting point for what we want to achieve here, but it is true. This book is designed for people who want to take a big step towards change. It gives practical tips and guidelines on how to do that. It gives lessons through stories. However, it does not force the reader to do anything. Change comes from within, and the reader will make that decision. This book is an excellent resource for self-development and how to achieve amazing personal change, but internal motivation and the drive to really want to make a difference in your life is entirely up to the person. The authors of the book, or the publishers, or anyone else for that matter, cannot make that crucial decision for the readers. They would have to do it themselves.

On that note, it is the authorâ€™s hope that this book will make a profound difference in your life. There are a lot of metaphors about life, but one of my favourites is that a perfect life is a moving target, and people should aim to shoot as close to the bullâ€™s eye as possible. We may never achieve perfection in this life, and that is just fine â€“ because all the little bumps and trials make life more interesting anyway. However, it is always good to attempt to live a life that is as close to the target as possible.
