- WHAT | One pair of SILCA Titanium Printed new or replacement cleats for Shimano SPD dual sided pedals MTB and Gravel pedals, 2 sets of Custom Titanium Bolts, and a pair of Titanium cleat plates. Similar strength as Steel at a fraction of the weight with no risk of RUST from wet conditions.
- WHY | With a hard look at all things metal involved in the cycling experience we took notice to the opportunity to improve on the age-old metal cleat. seemingly an afterthought this critical component goes through intense cycle and stress tests, dealing with up to 150 RPM for hours on end, and hundreds of pounds of pressure on all sides. This cleat has to be hard, exact, light and not susceptible to elements. Insert our Titanium printed and heat treated cleats.
- HOW | SILCA using their aerospace additive material Titanium printers and metal hardening ovens were able to create a perfect SHIMANO cleat replacement with a 500+ layer 3D printed model. After the hours long printing operations these cleats are heat treated and then post processed to remove any extra material or sharp edges.
