Top Customer Reviews By Mr. Ronald E. Miller on September 8, 2015 Verified Purchase This works to repair the pocket hose, which started to lead after only a few days. However, before you cut the hose, use a clamp or something to squeeze the fabric cover to the inner hose, otherwise when you cut the hose the inner hose will collapse about 1/5 of the way into the cover and you will lose a lot of hose. Still, this works and salvaged most of my 100 foot pocket hose. By W. Povse on June 19, 2016 Verified Purchase I have found the hoses tend to get a leak just outside the fittings. You can repair them by just taking the fitting apart, cutting off the last two inches and then putting it back together, reusing the existing fittings. All you need is a pair of pliers and a pair of wire cutters. However, these work great for when you catch the hose on something and it pokes a whole in it some where's in the middle.. You can use these to make two connectable hoses out of the broken single one. I had been using 3/8th's barbed couplings to fix them with small hose clamps. But this makes a better looking job. By Jake on June 25, 2015 Verified Purchase If you own or have owned a "Pocket Hose" (any expandable hose) you already know a major weak point with these hoses is the end connectors. I took a chance on these connectors and have repaired my expandable hoses!!! :) I watched some YouTube.com videos on how some fixed their expandable hose with a screw on hose clamp. I was NOT impressed and talk about an ugly fix!!! These hose connectors were EXACTLY what I needed to repair my expandable hoses that exploded at the connector ends. If your hose exploded in the middle or not at the connector ends; the only option you have (my opinion) is to make a shorter expandable hose. The picture advertised on Amazon is what I received, packing was good. This is an item I could not find locally and glad Amazon had it!!!
