Italy has an ancient heart. At the heart, in Umbria, a region of woods and hills, the land offers one of its most mysterious and precious fruits: the truffle. Truffles are an underground fungus, first discovered in Roman times, which can only be found thanks to its aroma. Thanks to their passion for truffles, love of their land, hard work and ambition for their family, Sabatino Balestra and his wife Giuseppina founded and developed Sabatino Tartufi in a small Italian town. Hunting for truffles in the woods with the help of dogs, preparation of the truffles following traditional recipes, conserving them simply yet at the same time keeping all their quality, taste and aroma. Over the many years since 1911, the family of Sabatino and Giuseppina has gained vast experience in this difficult and delicate enterprise. After many years of work, constant growth and great intuition, the Balestra's decided that the truffle, its unique flavor, its aroma, could not just be shared with fellow townsmen and the people of the nearby cities. From that moment, the world began to discover the experience of Sabatino’s truffles. Over the years Sabatino Tartufi has grown.  Today it is a large, innovative, certified company, present worldwide, capable of facing and winning the challenges that international markets represent.  However they have not forgotten where it all started: with the family values, traditions and dedication to the customer.
