After the hatchling emerges from the egg, the Quetzalcoatlus explores the area at the base of the volcano. It has to look after the hatchling with great care. The adult protects the hatchling from hungry predators with its long, pointy beak. The Quetzalcoatlus buried its eggs under the ground to protect them from enemies.
