- WATER TRANSPARENCY MEASUREMENTS: Test Assured Secchi Disc is a timeless tool for checking water transparency in any body of water. - Multipurpose Disk: Secchi Disk is used to determine the transparency of water in lakes, streams, oceans, and other bodies of water. It is an eight-inch diameter disk with alternate black and white quadrants. By placing the disk in water and holding onto the string a user can measure the clarity of water.
- DETERMINE TURBIDITY OF WATER: This black and white disk is used to determine the turbidity of natural water. The disk is raised or lowered several times to determine the average depth at which it disappears from sight. It includes a sounding lead and line.
- SUITABLE FOR VARIOUS DEPTH: The Secchi disk is designed for use in shallow water and works best in shaded areas to eliminate glare from the sun. A best practice is to use the average of two depth measurements. With 72 feet of cord, it is suitable for a variety of depths.
